Highlights
Taking maximum advantage of today’s turboprop technology, the TBM 960 provides high efficiency for more sustainability. Its digitally-controlled turboprop engine enables the pilot to use precise settings in flying with maximum efficiency. Daher’s recommended cruise setting for the TBM 960 lowers fuel consumption to 57 U.S. gallons per hour at a fast cruise speed of 308 kts.
THE QUINTESSENTIAL TBM
Piloting with precision is ensured through all phases of flight, benefiting from Pratt & Whitney Canada’s PT6E-66XT advanced powerplant and the five-blade Hartzell Raptor propeller, both of which are associated with the fully digital Engine and Propeller Electronic Control System (EPECS). Safety is paramount with the most advanced cockpit available today, including the game-changing HomeSafe™ Emergency autoland system.
POWERPLANT DIGITAL ENGINE CONTROL
With simplified single-lever operation, the PT6E-66XT turboprop engine enables easy startup, follow by precise, predictable control and full digital envelop protection. Its other attributes are easier engine power management and parameter analysis. This reduces pilot workload by integrating all functions while protecting the engine’s life.
THE OPTIMIZED PROPELLER
The lightweight Raptor™ five-blade composite propeller from Hartzell is fully integrated into the propulsion system. It has been specifically designed to reduce overall weight and improve the TBM 960’s takeoff distance, climb, and cruise speeds. Turning at 1,925 rpm during maximum power output, the Raptor contributes to limiting noise and vibration – making the TBM 960 a “smooth operator” wherever it flies.
HOMESAFE™ PEACE OF MIND FOR PASSENGERS
The TBM 960’s HomeSafe™ emergency autoland function automatically brings the airplane to a runway touchdown if the pilot is incapacitated. This game-changing technology extends Daher’s innovation to a feature that specifically address safety from the passengers’ point of view.
GARMIN 3000®
This touchscreen-controlled integrated flight deck features graphical synoptics for airframe, electrical, and fuel systems, enabling easy monitoring and faster troubleshooting.
FLIGHT DECK CONNECTED SAFETY
TBM 960 is equipped with the GWX™ 8000 – an advanced Doppler radar with automatic threat analysis. This all-digital weather radar uses StormOptix™ analysis to automatically adjust antenna sweep patterns to accurately profile weather cells.
GWX™ 8000: Advanced surveillance features include lightning and hail prediction, turbulence detection, zero blind range for close-in returns, and ground clutter suppression.
THE FLIGHT DECK THAT SERVES THE PILOT
In applying flight deck automation to raise safety and efficiency even further, Daher takes a human-centered approach that benefits from operations expertise and from customer feedback.
The TBM Philosophy is simply: make technology serve the pilot.
SMART GUAGES: The TBM 960’s flight deck multi-function display features engine smart gauges that offer a zoom-in on the First Limit Indicator mode, as well as an indication of the engine phase.
GARMIN DATALINK EQUIPMENT: For enhanced connectivity, the TBM 960’s datalink allows G3000 database updates from Garmin servers, as well as from tablets via secured exchange systems with 4G/WiFi/Bluetooth data transmission.
ULTIMATE COMFORT THE PRESTIGE CABIN
The stylish Prestige cabin elevates comfort to new heights. The TBM 960’s touchscreen-activated environmental control system, ambience lighting, and electrically-dimmable windows ensure a truly unique traveling experience.
DIMMABLE WINDOWS
The electrically-variable shading system dims the windows. It is managed with individual control, or for all windows simultaneously. At arrival and parking, the windows can be turned dark to protect the cabin from the sun and heat.
ERGONOMIC SEATING
The Prestige cabin’s original seat design – developed with the help of an ergonomist – offers premium comfort, even on long-distance flights. As a part of the Prestige package, top grain leather is applied on all seated surfaces and panels, combined with ultra-suede sides.
FLYING WARM AND COZY
Among the TBM 960’s outstanding features is a powerful new environmental control system. This is combined with superior cabin soundproofing to offer improved comfort for everyone aboard. Activated by the Passenger Control Display’s touchscreen, the passenger cabin zone temperature is easily controlled. Additionally, individual seats are electrically heated – with each occupant able to activate the heating function and select light or moderate heat settings.
A RANGE OF AMENITIES
A lateral folding table is supplemented by fixed sideboards that include cupholders for every passenger and pocket fillers on the side. Headset holders are available for each passenger, along with coat hangers behind the rear seats. Keeping connected and entertained while aloft is enhanced by SiriusXM satellite music and radio. The 14/24-Volt power outlets with USB-A and USB-C interfaces allow the linkup of mobile devices.
ENLIGHTENED TRAVELER
During the day, passengers control the cabin’s ambient light via the dimmable windows.
At night, LED strip lights integrated in the cabin’s overhead ceiling panels provide general illumination, complemented by individual reading lights.
