Challenger 300, Challenger 604, Challenger 605
After steadily increasing throughout 2022, Challenger 300 inventory has declined for the first time in twelve months. There are currently 14 aircraft for sale, down slightly from the 15 listed last quarter. This is the first decrease since inventory started rising during Q4 of 2021. The fourth quarter was an active one, with 16 sales taking place. This is the most activity we’ve seen in this market in the past three years. More Challenger 300’s sold during the fourth quarter than the rest of 2022 combined. This strong demand has held pricing steady, with values still at peak levels. With strong demand keeping inventory in check, now is still a great time to sell your Challenger 300.
Challenger 604 inventory is rising quickly, giving buyers plenty of options to choose from compared to earlier this year. There are now 23 aircraft for sale, up from 16 listings last quarter. If we look back to Q1, just seven 604’s were listed to start the year. Demand has also cooled off, with seven sales taking place during Q4. This is down comparably to the 10 sales that occurred during both Q2 and Q3. Despite the rise in inventory, pricing has held steady for now. With significantly more options to choose from, yet pricing holding steady, this market remains balanced for buyers and sellers.
Challenger 605 inventory has held steady, and demand remains strong as we head into the first quarter of 2023. Seven listings remain in this market, similar to last quarter. Just 2.4% of the active fleet is listed for sale. After only a combined eight sales took place during the first three quarters 2022, this market rallied and produced nine transactions during Q4. This is the most activity we’ve seen since Q3 2021, when inventory was double what it is currently. This strong demand has caused yet another price increase, with values now up roughly 75% from Q1 2021. With continued demand and strong pricing, this may be the perfect time to sell your Challenger 605.
